With a clear brief to retain and elevate the home’s existing character, Studio Welgus undertook a considered revision of the internal spatial planning in collaboration with Seaboard Design, bringing renewed clarity, flow, and cohesion to this Beaumaris family residence.

The reconfiguration focuses on strengthening connections between key living zones, improving natural light penetration, and introducing a more intuitive day-to-day functionality suited to family living. Existing elements were retained where possible, allowing the design to build upon the home’s inherent qualities rather than compete with them.

A restrained palette of blond timbers and natural stone anchors the interior, referencing the home’s original fabric while introducing a refined, contemporary calm. Layered with soft daylight, subtle detailing, and integrated joinery, the result is a quietly resolved interior that balances warmth, longevity, and everyday usability.
